Level 2: Building off of the basics to take an active role in creating safe and inclusive spaces.​

As a student, what is it like to navigate middle school as someone who hasn’t “come out” yet? As an employee, what are the impacts of not being able to share your family with coworkers? As a manager, you want to be known as someone who hopes people will come into spaces as their full, authentic selves. How do you start and how can you encourage others to join you?​

In this program, we talk about the experiences of LGBTQ+ folks in schools or workplaces and what everyday authenticity looks like. For schools: why LGBTQ+ youth are particularly vulnerable and need support. For companies: why inclusive practices are good for morale, innovation, and your bottom line. This program is perfect for people who have a basic understanding of the LGBTQ+ community and who want to learn how to bring more inclusion into their own spaces.
